What does a job do for you (besides supplying an income)? It ties
you down to hours and hours of the same thing day after day. You answer
to a boss. You work with people you may or may not like or get on with.
It can mean traveling to and from on a daily basis - catching the bus,
walking, taking the train etc. You're told when to work, when to go
home, when to take a holiday. When you're sick you still push yourself
because you feel obligated to bring in the income.
Yeah a job is great isn't it!
Obviously for s select few, you do like your job, it is rewarding and you may be making some good money. However for most people, work is work. You do it because you have to, not because you want to, and because there is such a shortage of jobs in today's economy you find yourself doing something you don't even like just to make the money.
STOP NOW... and start looking for OPPORTUNITY instead!
Opportunity is all about timing and circumstance. Being in the right place at the right time. And when you are, it can mean the difference between existing in a day-to-day job, and living a lifestyle you thought would only be a dream.
Learning to look for opportunity is a skill, and personal growth is the best way to get those skills.
One of the worst things we do when we become adults and start working, is we stop learning. We stop reading, we don't study, we don't increase our education in any way. That is why so many fail. We think we know all we need, or worse yet, we know it all.
You never know everything, it is impossible. But if we keep learning, we keep growing. That is personal development and that is the big opportunity draw card.
We all want more in our lives, but what we fail to consider is we do nothing about making it happen. Wishing and hoping won't give us what we want. When nothing changes, nothing changes. So unless you are prepared to make the changes to have more, then less is what you will always settle for.
That is not living, that is flat lining!
Get moving on your personal growth now, and stop looking for a job and start looking for an opportunity.
