WORLD CUP: Messi Didn't Deserve The Golden Ball.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter has opened up that Lionel Messi didn't deserve the golden ball as the best player of the tournament in the just concluded Brazil 2014 world cup.

Messi was given the golden ball in just a twinkle of an eye after his Argentine team was beaten by the almighty Germany in the final to claim the famous trophy. An action that wiped off people's expectation as many eye were on German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer,  Arjen Robben, etc.

Goal.com  report that Blatter slammed that the award was in-appropriately  given to Messi.

"I think the decision to give Messi the Golden Ball was incorrect," he told reporters at a press event in Moscow, Russia, as he inspected preparations for the next World Cup.

"I was surprised when I received the committee’s decision. They told me they had only looked at 10 of the players who took part in the final." said Blatter shortly after the announcement of Ballon d'Or nominee list.

Messi was among the 23 players shortlist for the 2014 Ballon d'Or award.
