International Oil and Gas Investment

International Oil and Gas Investment

SWFinvestguide is a global company involved in direct investments in the upstream oil and gas sector. We have invested in some of the leading companies in the oil service, exploration and production sectors. We focus on supplying growth capital through our investments to expanding businesses and buying into existing businesses with growth potential. On a selective basis, we also make early-stage venture investments into new exciting oilfield technologies.

The upstream sector has two main elements:
1. Exploration and production companies discover, develop and produce hydrocarbons. They also own and license reserves, finance and manage operations.
2. Oil services are mostly contracted out to a large and broad sector, which provides products, people and technology for all elements of drilling, evaluation, development, construction and production.
We also invest in the midstream gas sector, which includes companies that develop, generate, store and transmit energy.
The current changing dynamics of the oil industry are creating numerous opportunities for investors to support entrepreneurial companies with ambitious management:
The oil and gas industry is working hard to adjust its cost structure and retain its impressive skills base, investment is needed now to help ease the flow of capital to smaller exploration and production companies, improve the availability of credit to the supply chain and ease the burden on new oil and gas developments. A closer look is being taken of the deepwater drillers, these companies have extensive project backlogs that provide for visible earnings and cash flows this year and beyond.

Reserves are concentrated in the Middle East and Russia, benefiting those who can operate there successfully.
The U.S. still imports over 60% of it's oil from foreign sources compared to 40% in 1985. Even though the demand for oil and gas is slowing right now there is still a worldwide increase level of about  2.5 to 5% per year, while supply has declined annually. The world supply is one million barrels short daily pushing prices higher. Virtually all the 300 major oil fields of the world are watering out meaning they can no longer provide increasing consumer demand from countries like China, Indonesia, the United States and other countries. We consume 80 million barrels of oil per day and we will need between 100 and 115 million barrels of oil per day by 2015 if not sooner. There is no way the world's nations can meet this demand. Therefore prices will have to increase again meaning wealth for those who own oil through investments in the sector.
There are no known alternative energy sources that can compete with oil and natural gas due to the energy output of a hydrocarbon and the laws of thermodynamics with respect to fuel cells and hydrogen. Oil and natural gas will be the fuel of choice for the next fifty years.

As a company involved in the sector, we help our members to capitalize on these opportunities, using our deep insight and global networks to detect these opportunities created by the global credit crisis and ultimately adding value to your deposits in the long run.
The secret to investment success is to buy in the path of growth. An immense market and the promise of continuing growth are why oil and gas is such a sure investment.
The past financial crisis is now creating the best investment opportunities of our lifetime in oil and gas, the world won’t realize that global demand is rising all along - despite what the statistics say - until the economic recovery stimulates oil demand again. Eventually, the fundamentals of declining production, growing demand, and thin inventories will overwhelm today’s prices pushing prices and profits up. Which is why we think this is a great investment now.
